Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s Letter to Voters in Hangu

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan issued the folowing notice to voters in PK-42 Hangu-I:

BEWARE: Democracy is a sin!

To all Muslims in PK-42 we issue a warning that on election day whoever goes to the polling stations will be murdered. If any woman leaves her house she will be kidnapped and her throat will be slit. If any villages take part in the elections they will be blown up. Our people will be present at the polling stations and will make note of anyone who passes through there.

NOTE: You have been warned and are now responsible for your own safety and well-being.
